Only in Colorado.  Seriously, where else but in our wonderfully funky State would there be not one, but two crazy races on the same weekend?

Things kick off on Saturday the 18th in Central City for Lou Bunch Days, celebrating a true Colorado icon.  Lou Bunch was one of the more famous madams located in the mountain mining towns and her spirit will be honored in a brass bed race down Main Street, period costume competitions, and live music.

The craziness continues on Sunday afternoon in Breckenridge with Outhouse Races that are the highlight of Breck’s Kingdom Days.  According to local legend, Breckenridge was initially left off of official government maps and the locals claimed their independence by declaring their realm the “Colorado Kingdom”.  Celebrating over 150 years of Breckenridge history, Kingdom Days include two days of events throughout the town and surrounding areas.
