Denver Chalk Art Festival, Larimer Square June 4-5
My wife and I traveled quite a bit of the world in what we term the B.C. era…before child. Some of our fondest travel memories from that time were experiences we didn’t plan. Situations we sometimes literally tripped into.
While our range isn’t quite as large as it once was in the B.C. era, we still love the serendipity of new experiences here in Colorado. One such surprise happened a few years ago when we were in downtown Denver after an afternoon spent at the People’s Fair. We were strolling down the 16th Street Mall when we noticed a big crowd on Larimer St. so the three of us went to check it out. What we stumbled into was the Denver Chalk Art Festival, the key word here being ART. We were completely amazed. Pure Colorado serendipity.
The festival this year runs Saturday and Sunday, June 4th-5th. Check out the website for more details, http://www.denverchalkart.org/, and I’ll just let some of my pics from years past speak for the artists….my words really can’t do them justice.
